Hailing from Oslo, Norway, hubbabubbaklubb embarked on their musical journey with a notable venture all the way from down under in Australia. The band’s debut release, ‘Mopedbart,’ emerged in 2013 under the Australian label Death Strobe, showcased on a very limited 7-inch that quickly garnered attention from tastemakers worldwide.
Following a brief hiatus, the group made a triumphant return in 2017 with an even more limited 12-inch titled ‘Tomme Lommer’ and shortly thereafter a 7-inch named ‘Eddie & Suzanne.’ This time, however, the releases found their home on the Norwegian label Snorkel Records. Notably, all three tracks were accompanied by visually stunning videos crafted by the band themselves, a treat for enthusiasts worth grabbing some popcorn over.
Renowned for their solid and theatrical live performances, hubbabubbaklubb has graced a spectrum of venues, from intimate basements to the grand stages of major festivals both in Norway and abroad. As resident DJs at some of Oslo’s premier clubs and venues, their sets often feature guest appearances by everyone’s favorite DJs or live acts.
